According to Briefing.com, CPQ will split on Jan/98, no date available yet.

Paul: Here is the scoop on the split. I called Compaq yesterday about this and according to investor relations they are mailing the proxy statements to shareholders this week, they will have until Dec.11 to vote on the split.If approved, all shareholders of record on DEC.31, will participate in the split.Hope this helps.
