vip,

Tom K could serve as an excellent contrarian indicator if your investment horizon is beyond A WEEK. He is apparently trying to drive down INTC's price for his firm or firm's elite customers.

One of the best signals for an intermediate bottom.

A couple weeks after the big Crash and big Pop, Kurlak was saying it's too early to buy INTEL and that the carnage isn't over. Seems like he has something to prove.

<< 08:57 ET Intel Corp (INTC) 75 1/8: Merrill Lynch chip analyst Tom Kurlak
reduces his growth forecast to 18% from 30% per annum. >>

This is normal for Tom Hurl-Crap. He wants his clients to buy INTC at a low price. Once they do he will suddenly fall in love with INTC. (with appropriate bullshit to show the change in his recommendation).

vip,
Re -- Tom Kurlack Bozo of Merrill Lynch's reduces his growth forecast to 18% from 30% per annum.

Wonder how he got the 18%. My guess is he looked up dataquest/IDC's predictions for the growth of the PC industry, and ascribed that to Intel.

However, he forgot that Intel is venturing into Networking, which is a high growth rate business and graphics/visualization. These added to the PC growth rate, should give Intel a greater than 18% growth rate.

And they PAY this TOM KURLACK!!!
