Intel bought HP's FAB 3 in Hudson New York as part of the deal to learn how to make a VLIW chip. As part of the deal they had to keep Fabbing the HP chips HP had been making in its fab. HP staff (well, ex-HP staff) continued to make HP chips on HP's process for a couple years after the sale.

You shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

Mr Dan,

Re: "... had to keep Fabbing the HP chips HP had been making in its fab. HP staff (well, ex-HP staff)

Mr Dan, you're just "wrong" on so many levels ... I don't know where to begin.

HP never had a Fab in either NY or Mass processing CPU chips. HP's Fab's for these
products were split between California, Oregon and Colorado.

Mr Dan, you're embarrassing yourself and other "AMD faithful" ... Please go back to "sleep". <ggg>

Mahmoud

Nice try.

But, like I said, nice try.

Not even close.

Perhaps you meant:
"Intel bought DEC's fab in Hudson, Mass as part of a lawsuit settlement"
