I personally don't care what kind of alternatives are made available. Would be nice if we could replace both gasoline and diesel with bio-fuels.

The primary consideration must be that they be renewable, and not compete with established food commodities, such as corn.

Which is why I believe the future still lies with algal based option.

Even should people start eating algae burgers, the ability to scale up production, and the growth rate of algae, should compensate.
