My wife can't forget the 12 million dollars Pelosi wanted to study a mouse.

Personally, I'm in favor of modifying human infrastructure to benefit animals, but some of the projects I've seen are ridiculous. I drove under an animal pass in Montana that was built to allow deer and other critters to get to one side of the highway without getting smacked. It looked like a bridge in Central Park it was so fancy. That's overkill. Besides, I've never seen many carcasses in that area. I see more of them within five miles of my house.

These projects do not admit to the adaptability of living creatures. Few if any of them cannot adapt and those who can't are unfit to exist in the existing environment.
