I had heard Sorenson talk on npr about how some of the decisions were made during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was very interesting to hear about the discussions that went on. I couldn't help but think that if Bush 2 were in the office, seeing and hearing about how decisions were made during his tenure in office, how differently things might have worked out. Definitely not a time for a real cowboy to be in office.

The epitaph for Sorenson was appropriate. Great men die
but the great words they leave behind live forever.

His eloquence in writing speeches and understanding the
subject he was composing for was outstanding.

Sorry to see him go.
