i disagree. kennedy didn't lie to go to war and his head was blown off in broad daylight.

LBJ immediately lied to go to war.

he liked his head on his shoulders.

now, it might have been true that this is what he wanted to do in the first place... but there was no plan B - he played along or he risked being "kennedied." he didn't have another choice unless he wanted to end up like jackson, lincoln, garfield, kennedy and any number of others who stood up to the banking / war model.

they always tell a good cover story.
