Re: 99% of My Newspaper is Worthless, AAMOF!

If you pick up a newspaper and discover that 99% of it is useless do you request the publisher to stop publishing?

No, but I have complained about particularly odious columns or columnists to my newspaper. In one case (I was not involved in this one), a columnist on business ethics in the Minneapolis StarTribune was given the boot because she published inaccurate information without performing any fact checking (I kid you not).

Everything about IPM I have discovered in this thread and verified elsewhere. I believe it serves its purpose.

Fair enough. The thread has been particularly important to me, as well. But it has degenerated over the past two weeks. I stand by my earlier comment that the value of the thread to IPM shareholders has been quite low. I'm not at the point where I believe the thread is of negative utility, so your 99% argument is compelling. Remarks from Kornhauser (indirectly), Struthers, and others (would you believe including CC?) have made it worthwhile to engage in pony-searching. It's just difficult to wake up to 90+ more posts which look very much like the last 900+ posts.

I do appreciate your feedback, W.C. Thanks
