WA state turnout is expected to be 2 pts above 2006 or 66%. I just found out that turnout in 2008 was 85% in the state. And I also found out last nite that in Europe, they are disappointed with any turnout that is below 70%. I think here in the US we will be lucky if turnout is 50% this year. That might explain why things are the way they are here.

Cynthia Lummis says some of her Wyoming constituents are so worried about the reinstatement of federal estate taxes that they plan to discontinue dialysis and other life-extending medical treatments so they can die before Dec. 31. And perhaps the most shocking element of this story? Rep. Lummis: *... declined to name any of the people who have made the comments.*
