Obama has sewed up the Taj Hotel, all 570 rooms, at $1200 per. And has similar rooms in other hotels sewed up too.

Correction: The area from Hotel Taj, where Obama and his wife Michelle would stay, to Shikra helipad in Colaba would be cordoned off completely during the movement of the President. Not True. The President has chosen to drive in in his 45 car convoy on the arterial highways of Mumbai - which will be closed for the day. He has declined a chopper ride from Mumbai Airport to Shikara Helipad (under command of the Indian Navy). Shikara to Taj is less than 5kms by road, 3 mins chopper flight. Airport to Taj is approx 20 Km of city traffic, 1.5 hours for residents, during holiday season.
