There's been a change for the better here by moving a lot of the garbage to Chatters own thread, where it belongs. If you're tired of this goon and his tactics, come on over and tell him.

Re: Turning off the Receiver.

You have the choice not to log-on to SI. I agree about changes you spoke of but no one is forcing you to be a participant on this thread.

You are, of course, correct, Daniel. I don't have to come here. Given that, there are a couple of points worth making:

1. As a consumer of the content on SI, I have the same privilege as you do to let management know about the quality of the product. They have the ultimate authority to decide what to do with my complaint.

2. SI has "Terms of Use" and governing policies regarding member behavior. Several people who participate on this thread have found that out the hard way. If my enjoyment of SI or a specific thread is impaired by violation of those rules, I perceive a responsibility to let management know before I vote with my mouse.

3. In addition to being an SI member, I am an IPMCF shareholder. My overriding concern is that the current content and tone of the thread, viewed as a whole, is deleterious to the Corporation and my interests as a shareholder. Not just "negative stuff," mind you: I find that skeptical posts can serve my needs as a shareholder. The question is, have we crossed the line into damage?

I have not yet decided to go whingeing to Jill over this. I had hoped that the reaction of some posters (including myself) might have moderated the volume of noise here. If anything, the volume seems to have increased.

I appreciate your feedback and am glad to be able to discuss this. Hope I've addressed some of your confusion.
