Let's not bash Jefferson over the size of the country in his day .... btw he enlarged the US dramatically with the Louisiana purchase and sent out exploration parties like Lewis and Clark's and Zebulon Pike's. Its a good thing you're a career INTC bureaucrat. Sour grapes - that phrase is applicable for people without careers like yourself and bentway who knock someone who DOES have one.
