Hi everyone--I'm back from Florida. Whaddya mean, you didn't notice I was gone?? <g> Too many messages to catch up on completely, but I'll be browsing through the last few days and posting occasional belated replies.

I have no index positions at the moment. My short-term company plays have been totally sucky during this option period. Pulling in the reigns, reassessing my strategy, and developing more mechanical systems are my goals. For the rest of this year I'll probably do less of the frequent, quick trading that I find so entertaining. Kevin--I'll begin back-testing the ideas we've discussed, this weekend.

Kevin,

I am basing my opinion on viweing the stock over about a year. A year in which the tekkies really sored a few times and IBM did move last year with the new Gertsner factor and a great turn around. But when all the little boys were going high fliers, IBM would not break that 110. And with this HUGE sell off IBM is BARELY down, not even 10% right now. It is the big bully, the big fat guy that cant move when all the kiddies are moving all around him. And I have a pal that works for them, of course he is bullish on them so I watch it alot.

I say 100-110 exclusively.. It takes alot for IBM to be moved, I will not buy a call on it even if it does a TBR and goes to 140.. :} I WILL buy puts when it nears that 108 range..

What calls do you have in it? My advice, dump it and buy Fred Meyer.. ~ggggg~ it is a safe stock dont you know???

I am interested in getting CPQ at its pre split price, which we are getting very close to, at 54.. Now tell me that CPQ is going to slipt down to 30 and TXN splits to 50.. No way amigo...
