It's the same old prescription - wall off military spending, don't touch entitlements, cut taxes with no spending offsets, then haggle over earmarks and other petty discretionary nonsense that doesn't add up to diddly, run bigger and bigger deficits thanks to all that which are really Keynesian stimulus, then take credit for the next bubble in the business cycle that the fiscal insanity produced. And don't forget to deregulate business so they can run crazy risks that will blow up eventually and have to be paid for by the taxpayers.

Then blame the whole mess on "big government" once you are tossed out of office again.

We did it last decade, and there's a good chance we'll do the same going forward. Rah rah rah.

Except for the free use of the word "socialism" this piece looks to be pretty straightforward Republican fiscal policy buttressed by a good bit of neoconservative foreign policy.
