You have to make a distinction between the public sector unions and the others. And I believe the rank and file no longer slavishly follow their union boss' voting instructions. I would bet many more then 20% of the rank and file here voted for Cravaack.

Union vote...run your campaign on a "them vs us" basis

My SIL is a union goon, once enthusiastic. Taken some years, but he's come to realize that his long term interests are not always coincident with union leadership.
