This whole idea we can't stop funding public broadcasting because everyone will think we're meanies if we don't subsidize Big Bird (we must hate kids, right?) is a crock.

We should stop funding public broadcasting because its not something the government should be doing. PERIOD.

Ditto the National Endowment for the Humanities .... for the Arts, etc.
