I can't believe my eyes! ASND up and CSCO down. I'm sure this is an aberration. Will we continue the slide? I hope not.

pass pass--

I do not believe ASND will go up until after the new year. As someone mentioned before, tax losses, insider selling, and all the negative pressures in the market are placing ASND where it stands today. This is still a good company, and I think it could be a great bargain in the teens. But it won't move up substantially before '98. In fact I would bet it goes down further.

One thing disturbs me though. I know a few people in Cascade, and they all hate ASND. They are very upset about the acquisition and ASND management practices. I believe they feel they would have been quite profitable, and ASND is the one dragging them down. Quite a few people have left the former Cascade. Negative comments stick in my throat, which leaves me hesitant to purchase this company even in the teens. It should be a no-brainer buy in the teens even with negativism.

Hal

Competition and pricing presures will hold this stock down for a long time. Mid teens is where I might consider buying. We will not see a $40,50,60,70 or even a $80 stock again. A buyout of around the $25 to $30 range might happen. Any higher, I don't think so with insiders selling in the low 30's. Time will tell.
