Remember the debate about whether gold would go up or down after the election. I guess we settled that one. Obama is going to cave into tax cuts to the rich (which will add another few trillion to our debt) and other policies (like expanding the wars-e.g. if the Republicans decide to bomb Iran, invade Pakistan (who knows?)-constitution says that war decision's lie in the congress) that will explode the deficit and so all hell is breaking loose. As well the Republicans' economic ideas simply do not work. 30 years of right wing voodoo economics has destroyed this country. But Obama seems to be moving toward the right even more now, which means embracing those supply side "tinkle down economics". In the meantime only the fed has any real power to stop a deflationary depressiona and so it will keep its hand on the pump (QE). As well, while this is going on no one will do anything about making social security and medicare work (here come the baby boomers needing hip replacemnts by the millions) and e.g. raising the age for qualification or income limits for social security). One act would lose the old folks and the other the rich. And neither party will take that chance. This will mean yet more deficits, softer dollar and economic chaos.

With all that money which you cannot take with you when you die, will they be happy? You can only eat 3 times a day (maybe more than that for Rush), you can only wear one set of clothes at the time, you can only sleep on one bed (maybe two for Rush). Then for what? Obama will be in Indonesia. Just read a story about Jakarta which is under water, even the Presidential Palace. With all that power that the Indonesian President has, he has to step on water if he wants go out of his residence. The point is, would you rather be very super rich and surrounded by panhandlers every where you go, or are you better off be just rich and have prosperity all around? If you choose the latter then people like Rush accuse you as a socialist.
