They didn't pass a budget in 2010 - democrats can't count and hide under the bed when it comes to responsible leadership.

Or they're in the back seat of obama's car getting "Barney Franked" from lobbyists and unions.

Ted, what percent of the GDP was the deficit back then? Surely not 10%.

Look at who benefitted politically from the government shutdown? Liberals to this very day think it was Clinton who eliminated the deficit AND kept government running, when the fact is that Clinton only discovered fiscal conservatism after Gingrich brought it to the forefront.

No Republican today is going to argue for a government shutdown. Not even Tea Party candidates. The deficit is way bigger than before, Social Security and Medicare grows by leaps and bounds, and the GOP only controls the House, not the Senate and not the presidency.

I don't see what your point is in all of this, other than to console yourself over the halting of Obama's agenda.
