Tell me, what difference does the filibuster make for the next two years? Any legislation that is enacted will have to be passed by the House - controlled by Republicans. The filibuster can be used to stop legislation by a minority. The Ds in the Senate are the majority. The president is a D with a veto pen. Clearly, for the next two years it does not matter. Now - come 2013 the Ds may want that filibuster power as it is today. Bob
