Obama was too busy trying to cement his legacy with healthcare by ignoring the main problem of the country: how to get more people employed, that is more important than extending unemployment benefit which only covers a portion of person's income. If you don't even have enough to put food on the table, healthcare takes second priority, and if all savings have been depleted, there is Medical. So, why healthcare over employment.

This is the kind of comment that makes me want to pull my hair out....and I am very fortunate, I have a lot of hair so the process would be very painful particularly since it is buzzed and I would have to pull it out hair by hair with a tweezers.....but enough about me.

First of all, where is it written that a president can not work on more than one thing at a time? I am being very serious. Health care coverage is a pressing problem for a lot of people in this country and progress in this arena was long over due.

Secondly, your remarks ignore the fact that the administration wanted a bigger stimulus package but it was stopped by a combo of Rs and blue dogs from getting passed. In fact, the stimulus package that was passed barely made it.

Thirdly, everyone underestimated the amount of damage that had been done to the economy under Bush and R rule. This recession was deeper than any recession since WW II.

Given these circumtances, how in God's name can you blame Obama for not being focused enough. Your attitude suggests you want Obama to walk on water. Not possible when you have the Rs undermining every effort he makes.
