When 60 Minutes did a "woe is me" employment segment on Newton Iowa last week, they showed a couple of comments by local small businessmen complaining they cant get loans from the Bank. Of course they can't. They are too small to have much assets. The source of money for these kind of businesses has always been family. That is why immigrants do well with small businesses. They are used to that kind of loan situation. Our society has depersonalized away from this source.

wow...just wow...

when is the last time you tried to run a business?

most business owners i know have tapped into their home equity, retirement savings, and whatever else 'family' loans they could get to keep the doors open...

iow, now they are completely BROKE

they used every f'ing resource they had...no thanks to the banks

now i realize, its probably lost on a person like yourself living large with your medical 'insurance' (transfer payment) on the backs of others....but let me tell you....i just witnessed 2 business friends of mine decide to close their doors last week...

from my count, at least 36 people lost their jobs

and believe me...it wasn't for lack of energy....these were businesses that had been around for at least 20 years...

but they have no pricing power....and the govt and the fed are debasing their dollars to the extent that they have (correctly) thrown in the towel...having depleted their savings to keep their businesses afloat...

maybe you agree with hillary clinton when she says (responding to criticism of 'hillarycare') that the govt elites can't be concerned about a 'few under-capitalized' businesses that may go bust as a result...

but i don't

these businesses are/were the real backbone of this country and they are being DECIMATED by stagflation and regulation and taxes...

oh but not to worry..

you get your scans and procedures for 10 cents on the dollar, right?

who pays?

honestly...it would appear that you've been on the 'stinkin' islands far too long, (as my WWII vet FIL would say) to have any grasp of what is going on inside the mainland

what an insult to the hard working people trying to run a small business in this hellish environment as 'woe is me'

just wait until enough of the 'woe is me' crowd is sucking on the gov't teat like you....

then you'll get a real notion about 'woe is me' indeed
