Why hasn't Obama prosecuted even one wall street theif; or torturer, or anyone else? why it gitmo still open and gays in limbo?

For the same reason that Ford did not go after Nixon. If I had a choice between going after the crooks or fixing the system, I would choose the latter. That is what he did and I commend him for it. I also commend him for Obamacare. What I wish he did was give job creation greater priority over healthcare.

And the Republicans, being a centurt behind as they always have, are saying they would continue to give Obamacare the priority over job creation when Obama has already moved on and is out hunting for jobs for Americans.

That is why the he lost so much credibility and the dems so many seats.

The above is exactly why the kids stayed home.

I swear, koan, you play right into wingers' hands. I can understand why Dems don't win races in Alaska.

Its the economy, stupid!

Clinton understood the concept back in 1994 and used it against HW. Some statements are timeless. "Its the economy, stupid" is one of them.

Tone-Deaf in D.C.

.............excerpt

The Democrats are in disarray because it’s a party that lacks a spine. The Republicans, conversely, fight like wild people whether they’re in the majority or not. What neither party is doing is offering a bold, coherent plan to get the nation’s economy in good shape and create jobs, to bring our young men and women home from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, to rebuild the education system in a way that will prepare the next generation for the great challenges of the 21st century, and to reinvigorate the can-do spirit of America in a way that makes people believe that they are working together toward grand and constructive goals.
