i keep thinking of Germany in 30s--many people believed Germans would reject this madman. i no longer accept America is IMMUNE to being Mindless. That ended in in 1997, when my mother(now deceased) gushed forth that the greatest danger in the U.S. was Rove/Reed/Delay/the ChristianRightWing etc and their hand picked front man GWB, and they are going to kidnap america if people don't wake up. i can NEVER forget that i LAUGHED and said "Mom, you worry too much, americans have too much solid commen sense to be sucked in by the Christian Right and allies" Here i was the Blind Fool, and my mother(then, in 1997 age 86) was the Wise one, the perceiver. i learned a lesson, big time.Max
