Not necessarily. You are an astrophysicist, so I'm certain that you could come up with a proposal to study "ghosts". I'm sure everyone following this thread is curious, as I am: What exactly is a "ghost"? Perhaps you could write a few sentences for the opening abstract of your proposal. I'm sure we'd all like to see it.

Again I ask: Define what a "ghost" is, how we may observe one, and offer an experiment to test for the existence of "ghosts".

By the way, being that you are an astrophysicist, you would understand why I must reject your prior attempt at defining "ghost" as being an "entity based on energy". This is far too vague, as it describes things like a parrot, a fern, an ant, a bacterium, a human being, etc. ... all of which are based on electrochemical energy - and it can also describe the sun...which is based on fusion energy.

So if your hypothetical "ghost" is also an entity based on energy, please be more specific.
