Ted threw in Portland which should not be in the same category as NYC, Boston, Seattle or San Francisco. Also condos in revitalized close in hoods are never land constrained as to supply the way single family would be. What happened in Florida was a total joke as they demoed many blocks in marginal at best war zone hoods close in to boring downtowns without a real job base or reason to need to be there after dark and expected it to be yuppified with half a million dollar condos within a couple of years as an alternative to the beach or country club lifestyle. Now sits a mixture of vacant lots, run down ghetto homes and new maximum security high end condos in need of a pulse on the fringes..
