There old software must really be bad for them to throw it out. -- clare

there are many types of routing, i believe that asnd must be doing this to increase performance and provide more options. if asnd only stuck with the current software then they will get buried. both the new and old router software can co-exist on the same network.

There are many routing protocols that are proprietary. OSPF(Open Shortest Path First) is a Cisco Link-state IGP routing protocol that Cisco proposes as a replacement for RIP (Routing Information Protocol).
