Any denying most of the wealth and innovation has always been and continues to be in those urban blue coastal areas of the northeast and west coast?

Yes...

The Midwest is where most innovation used to come from.

The Midwest moved west to california after WW2.

If you count wall street, , packaging mortgages , CDOs, pumping stocks, money changing etc. as innovation I guss you could include the N.E.
