Others disagree with Silver. An argument from authority, even if you consider the authority legitimate, is a rather weak one at best. If Silver makes a good argument (and if its not something that would be over the head of any one who isn't an expert statistician or mathematician with knowledge of statistical analysis), then maybe you should present it, but just saying "Silver claimed that his statistical analysis showed that that was *not* what skewed the polls' results", is pretty meaningless.
