I have cable modem now with @home through COX. Based on what I read about DSL, I don't know how they are going to compete with cable in terms of price. Sure my upstream is probably slow but who cares. How many people need to have fast upstream?

In terms of competition, you seem to affirm my belief that for each arena, there are going to be multiple vendors chasing after the same customers. I guess my question is whether historical gross and net margin for the sector is sustainable? If not, we may have to change all valuation models. Using the DD sector and WDC specifically as an example, it wasn't unit sales that killed them but unit price. Not that it is not already happening in the network sector but is the full effect accounted for?

Wish I know the answer.
