You don't have a secret classified missile launch right off the coast of LA in broad daylight.

At least, I presume you don't.

Latest on the wire is that "it was a plane".

Doesn't look like a plane, unless the plane was on fire and shooting up vertically.

Does anybody have a link to video which shows the purported missile during flight? I'm inclined to believe it's just a jet trail after all, like the fence post that looks like an image of Mary when viewed from just the right angle, but it really isn't of course.

I can't think of any purpose in the US launching anything near LA unless it could fly to Africa maybe and they wanted to prove a point. It's not like anybody needs reminding that we have a gazillion warheads and a submarine launch platform that can sneak around the ocean virtually unnoticed.
