Well, I am not as smart as an astrophysicist like you...but I would assume that black holes MUST have existed in the 14th century, because if scientists are measuring the light and radiation effects around the event horizon boundary of black holes in the present day, it implies that the radiation took many millions of years to reach Earth, which implies the black hole existed in the 14th...13th...12th centuries etc. etc. etc.

By the way, Mr. Astrophysicist sir.

1) Where did you graduate from?
2) What year did you graduate?
