Andy,

My amateurish TA reading tells me that the MRVC chart has a periodic sine wave pattern. Taking out the spike in mid 1996 because of the Cabot effect, the stock seems to move up at the end of every 3 months (earnings) and move down slightly between quarter, with the peak of the sine wave going higher and higher every quarter (growth company). It looks like MRVC may have a small downtrend at the moment to complete the lower part of the sine wave and then will move up again in late December or early January in anticipation of earnings.

Either you can buy and hold this stock for the very long term, or you can trade between quarter to take advantage of the volatility.

My 1 1/2 cent of TA for what it's worth.

Mike.
