>>>Have you been using the bond points in conjunction with the SPZ and SPX.....except for today of course. I suppose not since we seem to be decoupled from the bond market at the moment.<<<

You answered your own question. The bonds and stock market have moved separately since the Hong Kong fiasco. If they were moving together, I'd have to say that the SPX should be testing 1000 right now since the bond yield has retreated from 6.45% to 6.15% in the last couple of weeks.

As for my system, I think it will be hard to get a handle on it for now and I'm really not sure if it's right to explain it right now. I'm still developing it and trying to fine tune it. That's why I supplied the formulas and also why I post the s&r points...people can try to develop their own system using them. One thing is for sure, the points that are generated often act as resistance and/or support leves. Many times the indices bounce right off of them. The trick is to determine when the indices will break right through and keep moving.

>>>While it went below your
points both on the SPX and SPZ...it really didnt go down that much and with the spreads on these options...was there really that opp to make money? <<<

Yes, but like I said it would have been for a quick profit and not a big profit. Looking at several strikes at 1:45 and then near the close, one could have picked up $1 per contract. Yesterday's move was not big (obviously) and neither were the potential profits.

This is what I'm still doing ongoing research on....is it better to get out with a tiny profit and wait for a new signal the next day, or is it better to hold the position overnight?

I often buy 10 puts or calls at a time when trading indices...sometimes only 5 and sometimes as many as 20. So trading 10 contracts to pick up $1 will give me $1000 profit for the day. Does that seem worth it?

I haven't decided yet...hence the reason I've been trying to hold overnight.

Sorry if my thoughts are all over the place...you know that's how I usually think :-)

Hasta.
