So why not give that $6.2 billion to California and Illinois, states with Democratic governors who actually favor the idea of high-speed rail? Agree completely. In fact the Feds should tell Wisconsin Florida and Ohio to send the money directly to IL and CA. Then raise local taxes for their road work.
