"George-Given the flexibility that FC has, will this be a competitive advantage over GE?
How flexible is GE?Given that FC is becoming the standard in the SAN how long will it
take before end users get a taste of all the possibilities of FC in different parts of the
network."

I have always said that there are plenty of reasons to go after the LAN, and not just give up to GE. GE clearly is having technical problems and some managers may be getting tired of hearing about layer 2 and layer 3 switching. What better solution than accomodating different traffic over the same FC LAN? This has always been a potential strength, but up until now nobody at Ancor has been bragging about it.

I think from the recent concerns about cabling that there are a lot of large networks out there that have not committed to GE.

I can't appreciating the satire in the CEO's list of "firsts". Hopefuly Brocade wil not "go there" again.
