I would concur with most of that. Federal and state workers are often paid well beyond the private market equivalents, not even including benefits.

And I can see the reduction of overseas bases as desirable on a fiscal level. But politically speaking, those bases are often critical to maintaining alliances and support facilities.

We're also going to means test entitlement programs.
