I look at stocks. I can buy a lot of them for less than it would have cost me a number of years ago, so we are definitely in a period of deflation.
Looking out my window tells me this climate period will be known as The Great Fog. I had better publish the findings, cuz it appears to be a climatic black swan.

Come on John, if you can learn about global warming by sticking your head out your window, surely you can learn all about inflation by looking at your personal grocery bill...

Never ever dismiss what you see with your own eyes. For a person to say there is GW because scientist say there is is no different than believing the world was created in 7 days because the bible says so. But a person can look at the evidence such as melting glaciers and see with their own eyes the evidence. Same with inflation statistics - play with statistics all you want but if the items you buy regularly are going up - that to me is evidance of inflation.
