Food price inflation rose at an annual rate of 8 per cent in China in September, according to USDA, whilst food inflation in the US has so far been tame, with the food index rising 1.4 per cent over the past 12 months.

What more can I say. From the mouth . . .

But who knows what the future portends. We've been warned by all sorts of fiscal hawks that the stimulus measures should not have been attempted because they were causing inflation. The markets tended to ignore that. Will they continue to do so? How would I know. My crystal ball is well beyond cloudy on that point.

As for that long cut and paste, Paul, you might as well save it. Good arguments aren't made by the pound.
