I am reading THE WOMANS ROOM by Marilyn French. I can highly recommend this book. The most interesting thing I find is the same arguments we are having today were part of her book for the way people were thinking back in the sixties and seventies. It's very interesting. Things never change. The old die off and the arguments go on with new generation..

I sympathize with this view, Blue. My concern, however, is with the degree to which we, as a thread, sometimes veer toward the second incarnation of the Foreign Affairs Discussion Group thread, the one in which the only thing that happened was hurling condemnation at one another. We are not there but sometimes creep that way. So far the admonition to stay away from personal attacks seems to keep us from sliding over the edge. I appreciate Dale's heavy hand in keeping us off that edge.
