That's funny. <The Unintended Consequences of Carbon Reduction in China > Causing big problems to avoid a non-problem. That's like Obama shutting down Gulf of Mexico drilling to avoid the non-problem of them springing a leak. Yes, theoretically it was possible, but the likelihood was vastly reduced already and if it had happened, the consequences would have been inconsequential.

But perhaps China has other undisclosed reasons for cutting CO2 emissions and they are more to do with local disgusting particulate pollution and cash flow forecasts rather than CO2 raining down on the USA and Bangladesh.
