I don't think a US Core Equity fund in a family of funds is a fair way to evaluate his company's performance. GMO has lots of funds. The question is where money is allocated.

The strength of his commentary is his asset allocation and his macro-view on what is going on in the US economy. Much of this has been said before (emerging markets, commodities) but you don't hear many people saying that cash still has value even though the fed is trying to make your money worthless. I also thought his views that lowering interests to nothing could actually hurt the economy as it takes away from savers who would otherwise have money to spend. Regardless, I found it valuable as I have raised cash levels and don't find the market particularly inviting at this point.
