If only Intel had exhibited this confidence earlier and let their products compete on their merits, as opposed to bribing their customers away from the competition with those discredited first-dollar rebates and payments for exclusivity.

Intel has shown that confidence. It has an established record of raising it's dividend pretty much on an annual basis.

As for your imaginary crimes against humanity, there never were any first dollar rebates nor payments for exclusivity, and no Court of Law has ever bought that theory.
