I went back over his posts. Couldn't find any direct quote, from John, where he was "speaking" for others. He made some suggestions about who can play "Miss Manners"- but I really didn't see him saying he spoke for anyone. Can you clip the words you found where John actually claimed to be speaking for others- and not just suggesting what he thought someone should do on the thread? I saw him say Dale gives us the lead on who can play Miss Manners- by which he obviously meant, if Dale agrees, he'll back you up. If not, you are not the manners police of the thread.

And of course, John can always speak for me. He won't always get it right, but I'll always enjoy reading what he has to say.

John, perhaps you should not pretend to speak for others.

I offered you some advice, Paul, as to how to be a better member of the thread, based on my experience here. I intended it as helpful advice after you chastised the moderator for a post. Your response to helpful advice is more stink bombs, including this one. Definitely, not good.

One additional note: I never pretended to speak for anyone but myself.

Well, whoops, one more little bit and then we should turn this stuff off. You may have missed it but in my reply to Kate about all this, I said I thought, specifically about you, that you came to taunt but your posting was getting better. Some of the time you engaged in conversations with thread regulars that lacked the snarky tone of the earlier Paul.

It would/will help all of us if the better Paul would show up more often.
