Because science deals with empirical evidence. Such evidence is testable in the empirical world and is falsifiable. The supernatural world (if it has more than fanciful existence) is beyond any verification or scientific exploration or examination. That is different than extraordinary things that actually exist in the natural world (such as electricity, or fish with funny eyes). These are a legitimate subject of scientific research. And of course if anyone were to capture Zeus, science would dissect him and analyze his parts. Not to worry.

Because, by definition, science is confined to the study of nature. The supernatural is excluded.
