“Politicians must be held personally responsible for their actions. In business, firms align the incentives of decision makers with the incentives of shareholders to ensure that they take the best course of action. Washington must begin doing the same by creating an incentive structure that pays elected officials according to factors such as stock market performance and economic growth.”

What an unbelievably absurd stupid joke. I can hear Jon Stewart reading this right now. Laffer really is a total idiot. I know Stanford gives out honorary degrees to some people they deem deserving. Do they take away degrees that they have awarded to people who have proven themselves to lack any real understanding of the world?

Arthur Laffer’s Alice-in-Wonderland economy

Laffer's stuff is truly bizarre.
