to fill every available environment, grazing on all the prebiotic assemblies. What? There are still available environments that can be colonized by life forms. The fact that there are millions of species shows that there are lots of niches out there ... and the occupation of life already there doesn't prevent new life forms from emerging. Thats true of life forms with the genetic code we know of as well as potential or theoretical life forms with different genetic codes.
