College football's top teams looked sad, yesterday. Auburn had trouble shaking a decent Miss. State team. TCU made San Diego State look like they belonged on the same field, which they haven't since Don Coryell was coach and John Madden was Assistant Defensive Coach. Cal should have beaten Oregon.

Boise State looked good playing against their own Private Idaho.

Most importantly, Penn beat Harvard to stay undefeated in The Ivy League. That guarantees at least a tie for the championship. No playoffs and bowls for these teams, though. They have this crazy concept of paying Nobel Prize candidates to teach at their schools and not putting the money to better use by bribing football players to sign up. <G>
