They did not have a plan beside 'accumulate reserves to avoid fleecing a la 1997-98 Asian Meltdown'.

Once they started accumulating them, they did not envisaged the scale it'd reach like today.

Now it reached a point that Treasuries are no longer a feasible mechanism to put their reserves in.

To change that we must change everything. The loss of clout of the G-7 will be huge.

They think: what if they do to us what we did to them?

They are afraid to be in the receiving end. Of course countries that will take their places are not in this for a vendetta. They just want to get rich.

Vendetta-like outcomes see Versailles Treaty are no way to go.
