Really? That meager report was shocking? Wow, the bar is low.

Can't we come up with more creative solutions than endlessly raising the retirement age for SS and snip a few insignificant billions off the budget?

What a mess.

At a birthday party on Saturday I overheard two women in disbelief that the "Republicans" were going after their SS and mortgage deductions.

Somebody else mentioned that it was Obama's commission...but they insisted "NO"...it was the newly elected Republicans who are going after our SS and mortgage deductions.

Affirmative nods around the room.

But then again...it was mostly an Illinois crowd...so there you go.
